The book analyzes the premium collection and investment portfolios of LICI and selected private life insurers in India to compare their performances. Life insurance organizations are crucial financial institutions in India, mobilizing insurance premiums from households and investing them in financial markets for productive purposes. The aim is to help life insurance companies assess their performance regarding premium mobilization and investments in government and approved securities, infrastructure securities, and those sanctioned by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), as per the IRDA (Investment) (Fifth Amendment) Regulation, 2013.
