Lulu struggles to understand those who dislike animals, including her teacher, Mrs. Holiday. After a failed attempt to help Mrs. Holiday find a pet, Lulu is banned from bringing animals to school. Undeterred, she rescues an abandoned duck egg and plans to bring it to school for safekeeping.
