Master and Man

Set in the winter of the 1970s, the story revolves around Vasili Andreevich Brekhunov, an innkeeper and church elder, who juggles his responsibilities during a parish fete. After entertaining guests, he rushes to negotiate a deal for a grove he's been eyeing, anxious to secure it before potential buyers from the town can intervene.
