Más información sobre el libro
Focusing on the impact of the Internet on diplomacy, this thesis explores how small states in the European Union leverage e-diplomacy to enhance their international presence despite limited traditional diplomatic resources. It posits that these states actively engage in social media to project a favorable image. Employing both qualitative and quantitative methods, the study analyzes metadata from three diplomatic actors across three social media platforms. It critiques existing theories on Soft Power and Cyberpolitics, highlighting gaps in research that future studies could address, particularly regarding cultural institutions and non-state actors.
