The Jungle Book is a collection of timeless, fun stories worthy of their fame. The writing of Kipling flows in a whimsical and poetic manner. His writing appreciated the sound of language as much as its ability to convey a message. It births the question, if we are the rulers of this world, are we even worthy of the powers and title. If the world would truly be better, and a lot less gruesome and cruel to the other animals inhabiting it. Some of the stories read very much like a modern YA book of parables with animals who seem much more human than humans.
